SUMMARY:The Gun Run - North Carolina - May - 2026

There will be no individual shooters. On sale April 13th at 7PM EST. $300 is the price for a two person team. Be sure to check your spam folder after purchasing for email from info@thegunrun.us \nInfo: \nThis is a special edition of The Gun Run. Your team must be able to use a map\, compass\, and protractor to navigate through the Sandhills Game Lands to various points. You will also complete several shooting stages. All shooting stages will occur on DeWitts property which will be separated from the navigation areas by paved roads. Total distance is tentatively 10-15k with 8 shooting stages. Train ups will be offered to learn land navigation techniques. \nLocation and Date: \nSaturday\, May 23rd\, 2026 at DeWitt’s Outdoor Sports 443 Jimmy Carriker Road Ellerbe\, North Carolina. \nCourse of Fire: \nThe course of fire will not be posted prior to the race. This is to challenge you in the moment. Expect to shoot rifles to 300yds and pistols to 50yds with minimum round counts of 65 rifle and 45 pistol per person. \nEquipment: \nYou will need a centerfire rifle and centerfire pistol with enough ammunition to clear the course of fire\, eye protection\, ear protection\, and some form of stopwatch. You may use any type of gear you want to carry your equipment. Pistols must be carried in a secure holster that covers the trigger if they are to be carried loaded. Rifles may be carried any way you like\, as long as they remain pointed in a safe direction. Targets will be steel therefore tracers\, armor piercing bullets\, and bullets with a steel core like M855 are not allowed. Magnum calibers are also not allowed. Your pistol must shoot a pistol caliber round. Your rifle must shoot a rifle caliber round unless you are using a Pistol Caliber Carbine. PCCs are allowed but must only be used to engage rifle targets. Feel free to contact us if you have questions about using your firearm. \nSpecial Equipment for this event: \nWater\, compass\, protractor. You must also have a cell phone or radio for emergencies. Maps will be provided. \nRules: \nYou may not use GPS unless a medical emergency is taking place. \nCheck in will begin at 0700 on race day and end at 1030. The run order will be published several days prior to the race. There will be a mandatory safety brief at 0730 and 1030 depending on start time. The first teams will start at 0800. \nBasic firearm safety must be observed at all times. Do not point your firearm at another human being and keep your finger off the trigger until your sights are aligned on designated targets. Rifles will only be loaded under the supervision of a Range Officer (RO). Loaded pistols must remain in a secure holster until shooting a stage under the supervision of a RO. If you are found to be breaking these rules you will be disqualified and escorted off the premises. \nThe navigation route will take you over varying terrain\, through water\, and over/under obstacles. Do not cross the asphalt boundary roads or you may cross into the live fire impact area. \nWhen you approach a shooting stage\, you will first show the RO an empty mag well and empty chamber on your rifle\, if another shooter is currently on the stage when you arrive\, the RO will tell you to start your stopwatch to keep track of your wait time. It is your responsibility to properly time your wait time. The cumulative wait time\, if any\, will be subtracted from your overall run time. When the shooter in front of you has cleared the stage\, the RO will record the wait time that you have on your watch. \nAfter explaining the stage to you\, the RO will give you commands to load and begin firing. Every shooting stage will have a time limit. If you do not complete the stage under the time limit\, you will receive a score of 0 for that stage. If the RO tells you to cease fire you will holster your pistol and unload your rifle. The RO will tell you your time and record your time on the score card. You must show the RO an empty mag well and chamber on your rifle before leaving each stage. Do not run with the bolt open on your empty rifle\, Carolina sand will gladly fill your chamber! \nAt the end of the race your run and shoot scores will be calculated. There will be a random draw of prizes from sponsors that will be awarded. \nThere will be medical personnel at the event in case of emergencies but be aware of over exertion. It will be hot. There is no shame in slowing down and walking. If you believe you cannot complete the event\, an RO will assist in transporting you back to the start. We will evacuate you from the Game Lands in case of serious injury. \nAccommodations: \nCall DeWitts at 910-652-2926 for camping and RV hookup information. \nRefund/Cancellation Policy: \nYou have until 14 days out from the event to cancel and receive a refund. SUMMARY:Old Eighteen Defense - Run and Gun - Texas - May - 2026
DESCRIPTION:Visit- WWW.OEDEFENSE.COM for more information and ticket purchasing. \nLocated at the edge of the Edwards Plateau\, the competition will offer some amazing views as the course takes you over one of the highest points in Bandera County. Look for some unique and challenging shooting stages utilizing this terrain. \nTactical Biathlon is a 2-gun biathlon. Competitors carry a rifle and pistol over a predetermined course of fire ranging in distance. \nCompetitors will encounter several stages to shoot at throughout the course. These stages may be rifle only\, pistol only\, or a combination of the two. \nThis event will include a Series\, Rivals\, and Sniper competition. \nCompetitors have varied amounts of time to complete a stage. If the competitor fails to complete a stage within the time allotted\, they will receive a Did Not Finish (DNF). \nEach stage has a unique layout including varying numbers of targets and distances to the targets. Competitors must be able to adapt to the stage\, target size\, and distance on their own in order to complete the stages. Generally\, pistol targets will range from 15-50 yards\, while rifle targets will range from 75-700 yards. \nThe Sniper competition distances will be out to 1300 yards. Calibers restricted to .223-.308. Nothing over 3200FPS. \nWe will do our best to set up the Series and Sniper courses separately\, to make them unique\, but we may reuse and/or modify stages between the two days. \nCompetitors will be put in unique situations and positions that will require engaging targets they might not be accustomed to. Additionally\, some stages might require movement\, or transitions from one position/weapon to another. Safety is paramount. Competitors and ROs will ensure that shooters are moving with the safety on\, finger off the trigger\, and muzzle down range. Failure to do so will result in disqualification. \nWhile running on the course\, rifles will not be loaded or have a mag inserted. Pistols are allowed to be in condition 1 (or loaded) while holstered. Competitors will be checked at the start/finish along with the entry/exit of every stage. Failure to follow this (or competition specific rules/regulations) will result in immediate disqualification. \nOur competitions will weight your scores 50% for shooting and 50% for run time\, unless otherwise specified on the event page. \nThe ‘Series’ event will be held on Saturday and the ‘Sniper Challenge’ AND Rivals events will be held on Sunday. \nCompetitors and RO’s are permitted to tent or bring an RV\, but there will be no hookups provided on the property\, during the competition weekend. \nThis year\, run times will be created based on Ticket date and Time of purchase. The earlier you purchase\, the earlier you run!

SUMMARY:River Bend Run and Gun - Georgia - March -2026
DESCRIPTION:Run n Gun:\nRun n Gun is a center-fire biathlon intended to test your abilities and equipment while tired and to stressed. You will have to carry all ammo\, weapons\, and equipment on your person. You should step off with everything you need to complete the courses of fire and the run by yourself. We recommend bringing water with you on the run. No one is allowed to assist you while on the course except for emergency situations. \nAll participants will be expected to comply with firearms safety at all times. If you demonstrate an inability or unwillingness to follow basic firearm safety\, you will be asked to leave\, with no refund and no apology. Muzzles must be pointed in a safe direction at all times\, and fingers must be off the trigger unless the firearm is pointed at a target. Rifles and pistols shall only be loaded when a shooter is at a stage under the direction of an RO. \nClub Rules For Firearm Handling\nFirearms may NOT be loaded in the parking lot. Per club rules competitors should minimize the handling of firearms at their cars. We have designated tables and racks for firearms up at the clubhouse. Please utilize utilize these safe areas when you need to check your dots\, slings\, etc. \nScoring:\nParticipants will receive both a score for their run based on how long it took them to complete the course minus wait times\, and a score for their shooting based on how long it took them to clear each course of fire (time + points). The run score and shooting score will be weighted 50/50 in determining the participant’s final score. \nRun Course:\nThe run course is a mix of on road and off-road. The course is marked with signs\, yellow tape and flags. Look for the tape and signs\, pay attention so you don’t get lost. Always look for the next yellow tape before moving from the previous yellow tape. If you see red tape\, do not cross it! If you cross red tape you are OFF COURSE\, turn around and go back. The course takes you close to some live ranges and crossing the red tape may put you in harm’s way.\nThere is a pick up along the course – make sure you grab one to ensure that you didn’t cut any corners. \nStages:\nThere will be 6-7 stages. The time limit for each stage is between 120-180 seconds. Some stages you will complete quickly and others you will be struggling to get under the limit – this is intentional. If you fail a stage don’t let it ruin the rest of your match. \nEstimated Minimum Round Count (we recommend carrying double; round count will be updated as the match is finalized and will be posted here):\n~90 rifle\n~90 pistol \nThe max distance for our ranges is 600 yards. No shots will be further than that\, but that doesn’t mean your furthest shots will be that distance. \nClasses:\nHeavy division – You must complete the course with an additional 35 lbs of extra weight. You will weigh in before and after your run.\nLight Division – regular run and gun equipment. \nEquipment:\nThe only equipment that is strictly required to participate is a safe center fire rifle\, a safe center fire pistol\, a secure pistol holster (you will be running\, crawling\, and climbing – DROPPING A LOADED WEAPON IS A DQ)\, a rifle sling\, enough ammo to clear the course\, eye protection\, ear protection\, and some form of stopwatch. \nThe rifle must shoot rifle caliber ammo (223 minimum)\, and the pistol must shoot pistol caliber (9mm minimum\, no .223 pistols). \nNo green tip or steel core ammo – this will damage our steel. If you are caught with steel or green tip ammo on a stage you will be DQ’d. Check your ammo and swap it out if needed. \nBefore Each Stage:\nWhen a shooter approaches a stage\, they are required to show a RO an empty mag well and empty chamber on his rifle as well as an empty pistol.\nIf you show up to a stage with a loaded weapon\, you will be DQ’d.\nIf another shooter is currently on the stage when you arrive\, you will be instructed by an RO to start your wait time. When the shooter is ready to shoot the stage\, the RO will record his wait time if any. \nWait time:\nIf you arrive on a stage and must wait\, note that once you start your wait time you may not fiddle with your gear. If your rifle was slung when you started wait time\, it must remain slung. You may not load magazines or move ammunition between magazines during wait time. If you need to take a potty break or do something other than stand there\, stop your wait time and do what you need. The RO should have positioned you so you cannot watch the stage and gain an advantage. Don’t peek. You may drink water during wait time as we don’t want you getting dehydrated but that is the only exception. \nIt is purely the shooter’s responsibility to keep track of their wait time. The ROs have no responsibility whatsoever to help you keep track of the wait. \nThe Course of Fire\nBefore the course of fire the RO will explain the stage to you. This is your time to ask questions. \nAll stages will have a zone where the shooter must fire from and a direction that they must shoot. This is to ensure fairness and safety at all times. You must pay attention to the briefs to ensure that you can complete the stage quickly and safely. \nFirearms must NEVER point backwards (commonly called the 180 degree rule) or at ROs. You are responsible for where your weapon points. If you’re getting close the ROs will yell at you to fix it. If you break these rules you will be DQ’d (disqualified). \nLikewise if you have a negligent discharge at any time\, you will be DQ’d.\nLet’s be careful and not let that happen. Safety is a priority.\nIf for any reason the ‘cease fire’ command is given\, you will immediately cease fire\, and wait for instructions from the RO. \nThe RO at the end of the stage will re-check that your weapons are clear before giving you instructions to move to the next stage. HOWEVER it is your responsibility to ensure that the weapons are unloaded. \nProblems\nArguing with an RO – don’t do it. They have my full support. If you argue with an RO you will be asked to leave. If an RO DQ’s you for violating a safety rule\, they will contact me and we will all have a discussion about what happened and why. If you are DQ’d\, that will be the end of your day. \nIf you have a disagreement about a hit being made\, a score or wait time\, come see me when you are done running. \nA word on scoring – we’ve all been there\, sometimes a hit isn’t called\, sometimes you made it before the buzzer\, sometimes it got recorded wrong. It happens\, it’s happened to me as well. Everyone here is a volunteer doing their best to make sure things are as accurate as possible. We all make mistakes\, but don’t let it ruin your day. \nYour Fitness:\nThis event is in a remote area\, and you need to be aware of over-exertion. We will have folks with medical skills on hand\, but your health is your responsibility. If you start having problems\, slow down… drink water… listen to your body! There is no shame in walking the course\, know yourself and your limitations. Make sure you are hydrating and eating something. \nYour Speed:\nThis event is intended to test your abilities under stress. It is up to you to only go as fast as you can safely. This applies not just to the run but also to the course of fire. If you need to go extra slow to reholster safely PLEASE DO SO. The fractions of a second it adds to your score won’t make or break your day – an injury will! \nWithdrawal / Refunds:\nIf you need to withdraw from the match you must do so at least 1 week before the match starts to get a refund. I understand that emergencies and last minute changes come up\, but i have to have a limit on when people can back out so that I can budget the match properly. \nSafety Brief:\nYou must attend a mandatory safety brief to participate. The safety brief will be at 7:30am and 11:30am Saturday.
