The Tactical Games Skirmish – California – July – 2026

Hosted by Defense Strategies Group at California Tactical Academy.
This event will consist of 4 stages total
– (2) TTG style stages that mix fitness and shooting
– (1) Shooting only stage
– (1) Physical only stage
This event is going to be very similar to what a competitor would see at a regional Tactical Games event, so it is the perfect place to get introduced to the sport or to get some extra reps in to prep for a regional event.
Check in begins at 7:30 AM. Ensure you are onsite at least 30 minutes early so you do not miss the safety brief. Failure to show for morning safety brief will result in match DQ.
Required Gear:
– Rifle, flash hider or forward blast device only. No standalone comps, ported barrels, or muzzle brakes!
– Pistol
– Eye Protection
– Ear Protection
– Plate Carrier: Men 15lbs / Women 12lbs slick
– Gun Belt with 2-3 magazine pouches for both rifle and pistol
– Holster for pistol with minimum of level 2 retention.
– Up to 5 Mags for both Rifle and Pistol
– Sling for rifle: Doesn’t have to be used but must stay attached at all times.
Recommended Gear:
Food, water, shade, rolling caddy, table, chairs, small repair tools, small first-aid kit
Round count
150 rounds per weapon system (300 total)

As we get closer to the match stage info, final schedule and any other pertinent info will be emailed over to registered athletes, staff, and volunteers.
No refunds are offered unless proof of military orders are provided. We will give you a credit towards a future skirmish as long as we are notified within 7 days of match start. Your spot is transferrable if desired instead of a credit. Requests for switching divisions after signup is up to the discretion of the match director.

Defense Strategies is NOT a law enforcement agency. Athlete equipment will be inspected the morning of the event to ensure compliance with the Tactical Games rules and regulations. It is the Athletes responsibility to know their states laws regarding firearms, accessories, and transportation.
