Night Ruck + Shoot – Florida – September – 2026

Florida Night Ruck+Shoot at MGAC – sponsored by Steele Industries! Join us again in the dark as we ruck through MGAC’s beautiful property testing our NVG gear under sustained physical stress and 4 stages (2 rifle and 2 pistol stages).
We will have four squads of 10. The ruck trail will be a figure eight two loop path with a central start and stop point approx. 1.7 miles total.
The goal of this event is to work as a team with your squad mates to shoot well and move quickly through the night.
NVG is required – no white light division!!
Minimum requirements:
– night vision (single or dual tube) on helmet mount – free rentals available by Steele!
– white light on person, available to use for admin tasks or emergency situation.
– Rifle or PCC with chamber flag. All rifle calibers will required use of suppressor per MGAC night SOPs.
– Pistol with positive retention holster.
We recommend you wear pants with a long sleeve shirt, hiking boots, and don’t forget the bug repellent!
Additional gear you may want to bring:
– sling or pack to stow your rifle, chamber flag inserted on empty chamber.
– holstered pistol on gun belt, magazine removed chamber empty.
– chest rig with water bottle, canteen, or hydration bladder. Iced bottled water will be available at the central start and stop point.
– plate carrier with loaded mags etc.
– IR strobe on helmet.
– snacks (no food truck).

Heavy: add 14lb minimum on plate carrier

Rifle calibers: 5.56×45, 300BLK, 7.62×39, .308, 6ARC ( RIFLES MUST BE SUPPRESSED )
Pistol calibers: 9mm, .40, .45, 10mm
No calibers exceeding 3200 fps muzzle velocity
IMPORTANT NOTE:
If you can not walk at least two miles with your gear load out, please do not sign up for this event! It will be physically demanding moving between stages. Be prepared to move with your full load out, all ammo needed for the stages, and your firearms. A good rule of thumb is a 20 min mile pace with full load out.
Check in starts at 6:30pm – Please arrive on time!
Safety brief 7:15pm. First squads steps off 7:45pm (sunset).
Expect 2-2.5 hrs to complete the ruck and all 4 stages of fire.
MGAC Members get 10 spots priority signup 48 hours in advance of the general public. MGAC Members will be prioritized in order of registration until 9AM on Saturday with general public signups approvals starting Thurs 9am Septt 11th.
There will be single and dual tube Night Vision Goggles available through Steele Industries, limited amount of binos will be reserved in order of sign up.
